Our Progenitors, LLC, is committed to maintaining your privacy:
- No contact, financial, or other personal information will voluntarily be shared with or sold to any private organization.
- Your genealogical report results are prepared for you and no one else. If you wish to share the content of a report with another family member or researcher, that is entirely your decision. Unless you provide permission, Our Progenitors will not voluntarily release any research or reporting to anyone except yourself.
- A client's genealogical investigation - especially when DNA results are available - can reveal a variety of unknown relationships and situations. Although the discovery of adoptions, assumed paternity/maternity, the existence of siblings and half-siblings, etc., is now somewhat common, injudiciously acting on these revelations could result in harmful, unintended consequences. In such cases, the privacy allotted to the client must also be extended to all related parties, and their wishes respected. Our Progenitors will do everything in its power to use the results of its research to enhance, and not to tear down, lives.
- In the sphere of professional genealogy, researchers sometimes use their work to publish, teach, and submit themselves to peer review. Client permission options for these uses, which define the limits of sharing report content without divulging personal information, are built into every contract before the research begins.
